James Barrett Former Postdoctoral Fellow

Bayesian methods, clinical trial design, machine learning and high-dimensional data.

Dr James Barrett is a senior postdoc in physics at the London Institute. He studied physics at Trinity College, Dublin and did his MSc in Mathematics at King’s College London. He did his PhD, also at King’s, at the Institute for Mathematical and Molecular Biomedicine. After his PhD, Dr Barrett did a postdoc at the UCL Cancer Institute at University College London. His current focus is the statistical analysis and bioinformatics of next generation sequencing and microarray data. Dr Barrett has lectured in medical statistics at the Department of Public Health in King’s College London and spent a year developing machine learning methods in the cybersecurity industry.
