Early Research Fellowships provide exceptional students with their first experience of doing original research, and it can have a lasting impact on their career trajectory. The programme attracts students from the UK and around the world.

Early Research Fellows are employed by the Institute to work on a research project for up to three months, under the guidance of one of the Institute’s senior scientists. The Fellows prepare a scientific manuscript summarizing their results, and some projects have led to peer-reviewed publications.
