Ilya Shkredov
Prof. Shkredov is an Arnold Fellow at LIMS and a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He works on number theory and сombinatorics.
Prof. Ilya D. Shkredov is an Arnold Fellow at the London Institute. He obtained his Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences at Moscow State University in 2005 and 2009. Prof. Shkredov did postdocs at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton and the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute, Berkeley. He was a full professor at Moscow State University and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and Chief Scientific Researcher at the Steklov Mathematical Institute. He has held visiting professorships at Microsoft Research, the University of Sydney Mathematical Research Institute, the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, and the Mathematisches Institut, Göttingen. In 2016 he was elected as a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Prof. Shkredov's main areas of expertise are multi-dimensional generalisations of Szemerédi's theorem, exponential sums and Fourier analysis, the sum-product phenomenon, inverse results in additive combinatorics, uniformly distributed sequences, continued fractions, and ordinary and multiple recurrence.
