Lee Hazelwood Visiting Researcher
Cell fate, cell programming, statistics, self-organizing systems and liquid crystals.
Dr Lee Hazelwood is a Visiting Researcher at the London Institute and Principal Scientist at Bit Bio. He did his PhD at the University of Southampton under Prof Tim Sluckin, specializing in the statistical physics of liquid crystalline defects. He was a Research Fellow at the Department of Archaeology, University of Southampton and a Research Fellow at the Medical Research Council, Harwell. He then became Bioinformatics Technology group leader at the University of Leeds and Senior Computational Biologist, Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, University of Cambridge. His current focus is understanding the fundamental rules that govern biological states of cells.
