Prof. Oleksandr Kosyak is an Arnold Fellow at the London Institute. He studied mathematics at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and obtained his Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences degrees from the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. His PhD was on regular, quasiregular and induced representations of infinite-dimensional groups. After completing his Habilitation, he was appointed Leading Scientific Researcher in the nonlinear analysis department at the Institute of Mathematics, NASU. He has done stints as a researcher at Aix-Marseille Université, Université Claude-Bernard-Lyon-I in France, and the Max Planck Institute in Bonn.
His research focus is in representation theory of infinite-dimensional groups, Lie groups and Lie algebras, and Braid groups and quantum groups.
