Tim Zhang

Tim Zhang is a summer undergraduate research fellow at the London Institute. He obtained an MEng in Computer Science at the University of Durham. For his dissertation, Tim collaborated with Northumbria University and the Royal Victoria Infirmary (NHS) to initiate an automated annotation and post surgery analysis project for cleft lips. He is now applying for a PhD with an interest in medical image processing and real-time clinical decision making. His research goal is to develop an open source digital twin environment to train autonomous surgical robots. At the London Institute, he is working with Dr Forrest Sheldon to develop deep learning models of cellular dynamics to predict transcription factor combinations for reprogramming.
