Jiakang Bao

Mr Bao is a Visitor at LIMS and a final-year PhD student at the University of London. His research is on string theory and quantum gravity.

Jiakang Bao is a visiting researcher at the London Institute. He studied mathematics at the University of Edinburgh before completing his master’s course in Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces at Imperial College London. His research focuses on quantum gravity, in particular string theory, which is a strong candidate for a unified final theory. He is also interested in the connection between (mathematical) physics and (physical) mathematics. At the London Institute, he mainly works on supersymmetric gauge theories using quivers as well as various aspects in mathematics.
