Vortex bound states
Vortex bound states in dimerized π-flux optical lattices: characterization, state preparation and current measurement
In press Physical Review A (2024)
Ultracold atoms in optical lattices are powerful platforms for simulating many-body correlated quantum systems. We explore the properties of two interacting bosons in a chiral, dimerised lattice where time-reversal symmetry is broken and couplings within unit cells are stronger than those between them. Our results show vortex-bound states emerge and we propose protocols to prepare them and measure their chirality.
