Sir Roy Anderson FRS FMedSci is a Trustee of the London Institute, Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at Imperial College London, and Director of the London Centre for Neglected Tropical Disease Research. He was formerly Rector of Imperial College and Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Defence. Sir Roy also served as Director of the Wellcome Centre for Parasite Infections at Imperial College London and Director of the Wellcome Centre for the Epidemiology of Infectious Disease at Oxford University. He is now on the Advisory Board of Oxford Nanoimaging, Chair of Oriole Global Health Ltd, and Chair of the International Advisory Board of PTTGC Thailand. The author of more than 450 scientific articles, he directs his research at the interface between medicine, biology, mathematics and computation.
