Alana Ker Mercer
Miss Ker Mercer is the LIMS coordinator and assistant to the Director, with experience in English literature, history of art and journalism.
Alana Ker Mercer is the office coordinator at the London Institute. She studied English literature at Durham University before doing a masters in the history of art at Trinity College Dublin. During her masters she published research on the commercialisation of art, interwar artistic experimentation and female wood engravers. She then worked at Woolley and Wallis auctioneers, where she was involved in orchestrating sales of Chinese and Japanese art. Her duties include assisting the Director, supporting scientists and organising events. Outside work, she has competed internationally at hockey. She also likes open water swimming, trail running and collecting rare books and prints.
