Mendeleev Visitors

We are funding Russian theorists to visit us at the London Institute to collaborate and to strengthen ties with their home institutions.

Dmitry Mendeleev, founding father of the periodic table, was a regular visitor at the Royal Institution, where the London Institute is based. We created our Mendeleev Visitors programme in keeping with this tradition, and in conjunction with our fellowship programme for Russian physicists and mathematicians. The largest programme of its kind, it has been written about in The Times, Bloomberg, The Spectator and Nature.

Mendeleev Visitors are paid on a per-diem basis, and visits can last from days to weeks. Some of our Mendeleev Visitors are described below.
