Christmas party
6 PM, 6 Dec 2024
Our Christmas party is an opportunity to celebrate our supporters and collaborators, review the past year, and set our plans for the future.
Our Christmas party takes place in our rooms in the Royal Institution on the first Friday of December. It’s a chance to celebrate the contributions of our supporters and collaborators—which is why most attendees are from outside the Institute.
Because our financial year ends in December, our Christmas party is also a chance to take stock of the past year and set out our vision for the next.
Attending our 2024 Christmas party are one High Commissioner, two British knights, three of our Trustees, four science writers, five major donors, six Alexanders, seven RI members, eight tech upstarts, nine Erdös 3-ers, ten LIMS Fellows, eleven rock climbers, and twelve Russian and Ukrainian theorists.
Among the 78 attendees are the Director of the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences, the Director of the Royal Institution, and members of the Khodorkovsky and Sakharov foundations, who have supported our programme of fellowships for Russian and Ukrainian researchers.
