Aleksei Makin

Aleksei Makin is a governor at the London Institute and a researcher, investor and entrepreneur. Brought up in Russia, he became a software developer and start-up founder when still in his teens. As an entrepreneur, he went on to set up redmadrobot, a company that designs software products, in particular mobile apps, for industries such as banking, telecoms and retail. As an investor, he supports deep-tech companies specialising in GenAI, neurotechnologies and new economies. Makin has done an MSc in AI and ethics at London’s Northeastern University. He is the founder of Cognia AI, a research lab that does fundamental and applied research at the intersection of GenAI and neuroscience.
